Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address, name, and profile photo from your authentication provider (Google, Apple, or email sign-up). When you use the app we collect your votes, reviews, passport data, notification preferences, and concierge conversation history.

2. How we use your data

Your data powers personalized recommendations, the ranking system, proactive notifications, and your public advisor profile (if you opt in). We never sell your data to third parties.

3. Data storage

Data is stored on Convex (database and functions) and Clerk (authentication). Both providers maintain SOC 2 compliance and encrypt data at rest and in transit.

4. Third-party services

We use Clerk for authentication, Convex for backend services, Anthropic for AI features, Stripe for payments, and optional notification providers (OneSignal, Resend). Each processes only the minimum data required for their function.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use authentication cookies (managed by Clerk), a theme preference in localStorage, and optional notification read-state in localStorage. No advertising trackers.

6. Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account through your profile settings. EU users have full GDPR rights including data portability and the right to be forgotten.

7. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Votes and rankings are anonymized and retained indefinitely to maintain system integrity. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
